Ouch!

Wow tonight was really scary! My baby girl scared me and her to death. During a diaper change she did what she always does which is roll to one side when I lay her down on the changing table, which she usually rolls to her left side. I was preparing a new diaper and taking off her currant diaper when she screamed bloody murder and would not stop, it was both ear piercing and heart piercing. She had her arms up by her head and her fists were balled up. I thought "omg what if something bit her or stung her" but I knew I had not seen anything on the changing pad when I laid her down. Then I noticed she had a grabbed a hand full of her own hair right at the roots and had it so tight that it was really hurting her. Newborns do not have control of their hands and feet just yet so I am pretty sure that she did not mean to do it nor does she probably even know that she was the one who did it. :-( I could not free her grip and had to get Joel to help me. She scared the living hell out of me.

During the next diaper change she did it again and oh my god she screamed 100 times worse this time, I mean she went insane, she was bright red from head to toe and I thought she was gonna go hoarse and/or vomit from screaming so hard. I am worried that she thinks I am the one pulling her hair and that makes me sad. Even if she does not her screams of pain were enough to make me cry as well. I have put a hat on the changing table and I will try putting that on her head when I do a diaper change cause I don't know what else to do at his point. If that doesn't work I have a plan B, but lets just this first.

I am really nervous about the next diaper change!
